The original house was deemed “preferably preserved” by the Wellesley Historic Commission. We were successful in our appeal for a variance to demolish the existing house, based on a design for the project that was well received by the commission as keeping with the character of the neighborhood. The design is a larger version of the American Foursquare style. This 5,000 sf house is larger than it appears from the street, with 7 bedrooms and 6 1/2 baths. The garage is at the rear lower level adjacent to the guest suite.
